Aljaed Lui Ereno
Major: Computer EngineeringAljaed Lui Ereno is a majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The first year of Aljaed's higher education was spent as a Computer Science major where he found out that, although he enjoyed the aspects of programming he was unsure if he specifically wanted to be in this path. His interests are broad but focused into the technology industry. As such, he is on the lookout for any opportunity to get experience in multiple disciplines to help identify what key niche/role he would dig deeper in. His first foray into the hardware world is through a project called SCEL, or Smart Campus Energy Lab, that is focused on developing a weather box that ideally would be used to gain weather data along with powering itself. This project is also team based and therefore he also will be able to gain valuable insight into effective communication. In terms of software he has participated in another project called Microbotics where he joined the team whose primary role is to utilize the toolboxes in the application Matlab to do image processing on videos.
